Trovelore's artisans build the piece entirely by hand, ridging the spine in looped red thread, filling the flank with rows of yellow and aqua beads laid like overlapping scales, working the crown and snout in pale cream with a small dark eye set in lilac sequins, and finishing the dorsal fin in fine violet stripes.
