Hand Embroidered Greenwing Dragonfly Brooch Pin

There's a moment at the edge of the water in late summer when a dragonfly stops in midair a few feet away and simply holds there, wings moving too fast to see, and you find yourself standing very still so it won't go. This brooch is that pause — all four wings open, the upper pair in pale silver-white, the lower in a mosaic of green, teal, and blue.

Trovelore's artisans build the piece entirely by hand, laying every wing in tiny bugle beads set in rows to mimic the veining of the real insect, edging each in fine silver wire, working the thorax in turquoise and cobalt, and building the long tail from graduated disc beads that taper to a fine point, with two amber beads set for eyes.

At approximately 3.5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide, this is one of the larger pieces in the collection, pinning dramatically to a lapel, jacket, or scarf and arriving in its own gift box — a design with enough presence to be the only thing you wear.
